      "Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale. This covers both current work and concepts that are more advanced. In its original sense, 'nanotechnology' refers to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom up, using techniques and tools being developed today to make complete, high performance products."
 

           If we say at molecular scale,it is a microscopic thing and couldn't be seen through eyes.It covers both current work and concept that are more advance since it deals with the design and manufacture of extremely small electronic circuits and mechanical devices built at the molecular level of matter.And so with this nanotech we could develop tools that  works on the molecular level analogous to the tools we have at the macro world level.

          It would be a great advantage for us to make things more easier and faster to do. It would be possible for us to find a best solution to our problem in medicines, finding treatment for illness, design and synthesize pharmaceuticals, cancer treatment ,we could directly treat diseased cells, and most probably we could make a machines for better monitoring of the patients, machines for surgery and even in our problem with maintaining a clean and green environment.The flip side to these benefits is the possibility of assemblers and disassembler being used to create weapons, be used as weapons themselves, or for them to run wild and wreak havoc. Other, less invasive, but equally perilous uses of nanotechnology would be in electronic surveillance.
